Intelligent production in which humans and machines cooperate – that’s the topic the TU Wien Pilot Factory Industry 4.0 is dedicated to. Industrial production is getting more and more complex as well as interconnected, which makes a separate look onto distinct production steps less possible as well as reasonable. A comprehensive integration and coordination of all areas and information enables new approaches. One focus of the TU Wien Pilot Factory is therefore the development of appropriate IT solutions.
Another focus lies on new concepts and solutions for multi-variant serial production (Low Volume – High Mix) in the field of the discrete manufacturing industry, which is typical for many Austrian companies. At the Open Lab Day 2019 you will get insights in concluded, current as well as possible future projects and get an impression on how work will look like in the future. For presenting new projects and entering into an exchange with interested parties, there will be a marketplace for projects.
